Gods lie broken and dead
beneath the shades of time
Violins screech of nightmares
begging for a good night's sleep
Broken heart brandies litter empty parks
binged by young children hunting for reason
Smoke fills caskets formerly used to house the dead
leaving only the wretched behind to poison the wake
Rotting feet crumple falling leaves
as bloody hands tie this silent noose
A subtle lewd grin crawls across this face
as madness sets in deeply into the mind
He is why I write this
He is why I do this
It must come to an end
That is why I hang myself
